Every so often a company appears with a vision so ambitious that it makes me pause and take stock of where technology is heading. Humanoid is one of those.

I’ve been following their journey recently, and what caught my attention is the scale and pace of what they’re building. In just seven months, over 175 professionals across three countries came together to create something remarkable: a humanoid robot designed not for a lab demonstration, but for real-world deployment.

What makes Humanoid’s approach stand out is their commitment to safety and scalability. They’re not chasing headlines with one-off prototypes — they’re building for commercial reality. Partnerships with organisations like Nvidia and Fraunhofer SIT show that they’re aligning with world-class expertise in AI, cloud, and research.

Their values are straightforward: safe, scalable, useful. That clarity is refreshing.

Why It Matters

Industries everywhere are facing challenges: labor shortages, rising costs, dangerous environments. Robots like HMND 01 could step into those gaps, taking on repetitive or hazardous work while freeing humans to focus on higher-value tasks.

Of course, challenges remain. Power, reliability, cost, and safety standards will all be major hurdles. But the opportunity is huge, and Humanoid is clearly serious about addressing it.

Looking Ahead

On September 18th, Humanoid will release a documentary that tells their story in more depth. I’ll be watching closely. For me, this isn’t just about robots — it’s about how design, engineering, and bold execution can reshape the way we work and live.
